Ur AI Teams Place 1st and 2nd at the DeepCore × OpenAI Hackathon in Tokyo
Ur AI members joined the DeepCore × OpenAI Hackathon in Tokyo, where teams featuring Teruaki Terai and Sandeep Yella placed 1st and 2nd in a fast two-hour build competition.

Tokyo, Japan — April 24, 2026 — Ur AI members participated in the DeepCore × OpenAI Hackathon in Tokyo, and teams featuring our members placed 1st and 2nd.
Teruaki Terai's team won 1st place with a voice AI concept designed to boost the energy of meetings. Sandeep Yella's team placed 2nd with a real-time visual sales assistant.

A Fast Build, Strong Results
The hackathon brought together 12 teams for an unusually compressed build window: just two hours to turn ideas into working prototypes. Even within that short timeframe, the level of products was high across the room.
The top three teams received a combined USD 40,000 in credits. Teruaki Terai's 1st-place team won USD 25,000 in credits, while Sandeep Yella's 2nd-place team won USD 10,000 in credits. After each team distributed its awards, the result for Ur AI was USD 7,500 in credits plus two 12-month Codex Pro Max subscriptions. We are grateful for the recognition and will put this support to work in future API development and validation.
Thank You to DeepCore and OpenAI
We would like to sincerely thank DeepCore and OpenAI for creating a high-quality builder environment in Tokyo. The event was valuable not only as a competition, but also as a place to meet other builders, see what teams can ship under pressure, and feel the pace at which AI development tools are evolving.
OpenAI Codex in particular showed how quickly the boundary between idea and prototype is moving. For teams building production AI applications, that shift matters: the speed of experimentation is becoming part of the product development advantage.
Congratulations to the Teams
Congratulations to Teruaki Terai, Sandeep Yella, and all participating team members. We are proud to see Ur AI members contribute to both of the top two results, and even more excited by the ideas that came out of such a short build sprint.
We will keep building AI applications from Japan that can compete globally, with practical products, fast validation, and a strong bias toward shipping.
